I recently viewed a property through Yopa and, although I decided that the house wasn’t for me I have to say I was extremely impressed with Yopa as a company and, in particular, with the helpfulness and professionalism of their staff. From the moment I booked the viewing the service was excellent. Whenever I called my calls were answered promptly by a member of staff rather than being directed to an answering machine or asked to leave a message. Everyone I spoke to was understanding of my needs listened patiently to my questions and answered them confidently and professionally. Before the viewing, Yopa sent me useful information about the sorts of questions I should ask when viewing a property followed by a reminder the day before. These little touches made the whole process feel well organised and showed that they genuinely wanted to help. The viewing representative, David, was particularly friendly informative and professional. He could tell that I wasn’t particularly keen on the property as it was quite dated and, in my opinion, overpriced. However, he understood that the asking price was the seller’s decision and never tried to pressure me into being interested. Instead he offered me the opportunity to view another Yopa property which I declined because it wasn’t in the area I’m looking to buy in. David also took the time to explain the current property market to me and gave me a useful leaflet explaining how by creating an account I could potentially see properties before they officially come onto the market. I really appreciated the time he took to provide information and advice even though he knew I wasn’t going to be interested in the property I had viewed. I have dealt with many estate agents in the area and honestly I found Yopa to be the best experience I’ve had so far. Unfortunately, some other agents I’ve dealt with simply don’t seem to have the time to speak to prospective buyers. It can be difficult to arrange viewings at a convenient time because they are often fully booked and on some occasions calls aren’t even returned. Without naming the particular agent I contacted one recently twice over a three-month period and showed genuine interest in one of their properties yet nobody bothered to call me back. When I eventually called again I was simply told by the assistant that if it was urgent I should email them. Needless to say, I didn’t bother contacting them again. By contrast my experience with Yopa has been completely different. Even though I didn’t want to buy the property I viewed I felt listened to respected and genuinely helped throughout the process.
